WI-Bank Project

Effects and benefits of demand response systems in supply chains

The aim of this research project was to investigate the effects of various demand response programmes on supply chains, customer-supplier relationships and inventory management. Specifically, the interactions between demand response programmes and customer-supplier relationships as well as inventory management in supply chains were examined and whether risks in relation to delivery capability or effects on inventories are increased or reduced. We look forward to providing further insights into this project soon.

The research project “Effects and benefits of demand response systems in supply chains” ran from August 2023 to July 2024 and it was funded according to the guidelines of the State of Hesse for energy funding within the framework of the Hessian Energy Act (Hessischen Energiegesetztes, HEG) of October 09, 2019 with funds from the State of Hesse and with the kind support of the House of Energy.
