The project entitled “Improving Energy Security in Nepal using Micro-Hydropower Plants” is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – German Research Foundation. The aim of the project is to understand and improve energy security and efficiency in Nepal by analysing and optimizing the role of microgrids, particularly in remote regions, and to initiate an international cooperation between Tribhuvan University, IOE, Pulchowk Campus and the Technical University of Darmstadt.
Main project partners for the academic exchange are Prof. Dr. Jagat Shrestha and Prof. Dr. Rojee Pradhananga at the Center for Infrastructure Development Studies (CIDS), IOE Pulchowk.
The PSCM institute would like to thank the German Research Foundation (DFG) for funding the project to establish the international cooperation.
