WI-Bank Project

Adaptation of machine speeds in machine scheduling to improve the efficiency of demand response programs

The aim of the research project was to investigate interactions between demand-response programmes and machine scheduling with variable production speeds. Specifically, the project looked at how the effectiveness of demand response programmes can be increased by adjusting the production speed as part of machine scheduling, whereby both the energy consumption of the system and its economic performance were investigated.

The research project was funded according to the guidelines of the State of Hesse for energy funding within the framework of the Hessian Energy Act (Hessischen Energiegesetztes, HEG) of October 09, 2019 with funds from the State of Hesse and with the kind support of the House of Energy.
