DFG-Project "Inventory data "

Together with Prof. Rogelio Oliva from Texas A&M University, Prof. Aris Syntetos from the University of Cardiff and Prof. Yacine Rekik from Emlyon Business School, the Department of Production and Supply Chain Management is investigating how faulty inventory data affects retail sales. The project will analyse empirical data that has been or is being collected in retail shops by practice partners and will provide information on how the improvement of inventory data through stocktaking influences turnover. By means of statistical models, reliable statements on the connection between data quality and turnover in retailing are to be derived.

The PSCM department would like to thank the German Research Foundation (DFG) for funding the project to establish international cooperation.
