2025/06/13

Our team member Marc Füchtenhans got the opportunity to spend time in Kathmandu, Nepal, to participate in our project entitled “Improving Energy Security in Nepal using Micro-Hydropower Plants”, which is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – German Research Foundation.

The aim of the DFG project is to understand and improve energy security and efficiency in Nepal by analysing and optimizing the role of microgrids, particularly in remote regions, and to initiate an international cooperation between Tribhuvan University, IOE, Pulchowk Campus and Technische Universität Darmstadt.

Many thanks to Prof. Dr. Jagat Shrestha and Prof. Dr. Rojee Pradhananga at Center for Infrastructure Development Studies (CIDS), IOE Pulchowk for the warm welcome, their support, and the inspiring academic exchange.
