The EU project X-HuLog4.0 workshop concluded after two inspiring days full of exchange, collaboration, and new perspectives!

2025/10/31

Hosted by the Institute of Production and Supply Chain Management (PSCM), the event explored human-centred and technology-driven decision support in logistics — focusing on how human expertise and emerging technologies can jointly enhance decision-making in logistics and supply chain management.

The workshop opened with Subrata Panja presenting on generative AI in logistics and supply chain management, followed by Dominik Loske, who shared insights on how domain specialization and technology-driven augmentation affect logistics operations.

Michael Spitzhirn, imk Industrial Intelligence, introduced the Ema Software Suite for digitally planning sustainable and ergonomic factories.

Further engaging talks came from Aurelija Burinskiene on digital transformation in warehouses, Valentas Gružauskas on digital twins and traffic forecasting, Olga Lingaitienė on SME innovation in the EU, Diana Daškevič on decision-making in digital transformation, and Ali Heidari on applying machine learning in inventory control.

We sincerely thank all contributors from TU Darmstadt, Saarland University, Vilniustech, NTNU, and our industry partners for their active participation and insightful discussions.

Special appreciation goes to Eric Grosse, and all colleagues for their collaboration and to the European Union for supporting this initiative through the Horizon Europe project X-HuLog4.0.
