The visit was part of the project “Improving energy security in Nepal using micro-hydropower plants” funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – German Research Foundation, which aims to investigate the role of hydropowered microgrids in Nepal's current energy landscape.

During the visit, we held a productive project workshop focusing on data collection strategies and the development of evaluation criteria for different microgrid types in Nepal’s diverse geographic regions. We would like to sincerely thank Prof. Shrestha and Dr. Pradhananga for their valuable input. Special thanks also to Janina Posset and Leon Klinar for their contribution to the organization and execution of the workshop.

We look forward to intensifying this collaboration in the coming months.
